Founded in 2001, the mission of the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestras (WSYO) is to enrich the lives of Cape Fear area youth by providing talented young musicians with unique orchestral training and performing opportunities. WSYO is intended as a complement to school music programs and we strongly encourage our members to participate in their school ensembles.

The Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestras welcome new students to audition for the upcoming semester.
The Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestras were organized to serve as a supplement, not as a replacement for school music programs. You are strongly encouraged to participate in your school's orchestra or band.
Audition Dates:
Junior Strings: Wednesday, September 16
Youth Orchestra Wednesday, September 16 or Thursday, September 17. If you have a preferred audition date, please indicate the date on your application.
