ROY ROBUCK

Conductor, Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra

Roy Robuck is a Wilmington native, educator, and lifelong musician. A graduate of New Hanover High School, Roy studied violin performance at North Texas State University, performed with the 1985 All-American College Orchestra at Walt Disney World, and toured with country music legends Ray Price and Merle Haggard.

Roy has taught orchestra in Wilmington since 1997, inspiring generations of students at Trask Middle School and Laney High School. A co-founder of the Tallis Chamber Orchestra and longtime violinist with the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, Roy brings decades of performance experience and a passion for music education to his role with the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra.
