UNDERWRITING CAMPAIGN

Become an Underwriter and have your name or business featured on a WSO concert program page!

Putting on a Wilmington Symphony Orchestra concert involves a variety of expenses—guest artist fees and the purchase or rental of music can quickly add up. Consider the gift of underwriting: a unique opportunity to see your name or your company’s name in lights while making a tax-deductible contribution that supports our orchestra.

You can underwrite your favorite piece or perhaps the cost of music for the entire concert. Underwriting can also serve as a meaningful memorial tribute.

Recognition will appear on the program page beneath the music you have underwritten, along with the name of any individual you wish to honor.

Underwriting example from our concert BRAHMS AND MORE with guest artist Sterling Elliott in 2019:

Text from a music program invites readers to "Variations on a Rococo Theme, Op. 33" by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, featuring Sterling Elliott on cello. It notes, "Music underwritten by Kathy Meyer and the Cello Section."
  • How It Works:

    • FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED! Only one underwriter allowed per item, so hurry up and claim your favorite score or guest artist before someone else does!

    • Underwrite as many pieces or guest artists as you would like for the value listed next to the item.

    • You must fill out the online form in order to claim your underwriter status.

    • Questions? Contact our Director of Development, Breana Hebert, at breana@wilmingtonsymphony.org or (910) 791-9262.
