William Hueholt began piano lessons at the age of four, has developed into a passionate young artist. His recent performance with the UNC-Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, was praised by Classical Voice of North Carolina (CVNC) for “the poetic sections [which] were spun out beautifully, while his fingers seemed to be made of steel in the thunderous passages.” Hueholt has studied and performed at music festivals and summer academies around the world, from Florida and Maine to Austria and Italy. Deeply interested in new music, Hueholt has premiered numerous compositions at UNCG, as well as championing new works from well-established composers.
“New World Symphony” has become known as one of the most popular of all symphonies. It was the music of choice by Neil Armstrong during the Apollo 11 mission to the moon in 1969.
