Youth Orchestra Auditions

Auditions are scheduled every year in August/September and January at UNCW's Cultural Arts Building. CLICK HERE for the audition dates.
The material performed during the audition includes the following:
- Two contrasting etudes or solos (30 second sections)
- Two to three octave scales (depending on your comfort level and instrument)
- Judges will provide sight reading during the audition as well
Application deadline is Saturday, August 26th.
You will receive your audition time on Monday, August 29th which will either be on the evening of Thursday, September 1st or Thursday, September 8th.

Rehearsals will be scheduled Thursday evenings before the Youth Orchestra rehearsal; ensembles will perform at a "Second Sunday Series" concert at the Cameron Art Museum.
