By: AJ Ricketts, Reporter WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WECT.COM)The Wilmington Symphony held a 'Spooky Sound Paddle Fest' Saturday morning at Wrightsville Beach, with money raised going to benefit the youth symphony and junior strings. A costume contest, paddleboard races, and dance to Michael Jackson's Thriller highlighted the event. "I'm a real avid paddleboarder, and I do yoga on the paddleboard, and I suggested it and everyone looked at me like I lost my mind at first," said Lesa Broadhead, chair of the symphony special events committee. "But everyone's gotten on board, literally, and it's been a lot of fun." http://www.wect.com/story/30404487/halloween-morning-brings-paddleboarders-to-wrightsville-beach |
