Here's an interview with Miranda in 2020:

How long have you played percussion?
Around 14 years

How long have you been a Wilmington Symphony Orchestra musician?
This is my first year! I joined in January of 2020

What do you do for a career?
I am a veterinary assistant at a clinic in Wilmington

Where did you grow up?
Charlotte, North Carolina

What is your favorite song, artist, and/or musical memory?
Performing in the World Championship competition for various percussion WGI ensembles was always an amazing experience

Favorite meal or restaurant?
Yosake

Favorite beverage?
Whiskey ginger

What is your favorite vacation?
Anywhere that I can lay in the sand and swim in the ocean!

You're stuck on a desert island... What book, music/album/artist and/or movie do you want with you??
I would theoretically find a way to bring Netflix with me so I could watch Black Mirror

What's your pet situation?
I have a German shepherd/lab mix named Skye. Her ears are so large she could fly away with them

I also have a small cat named Nova

What do you want people to know about the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra?
The WSO is a group of great musicians and Dr. Errante is a wonderful conductor and leader!

How are you keeping yourself occupied while being at home all day?
Since my job was deemed “essential” I’ve continued going to work daily. In my spare time I’ve been doing a lot of home improvements!

Any words of wisdom to help others through this pandemic?
Find ways to connect with your loved ones and take time to do something you enjoy as much as possible.
