The 2016 Wilmington Symphony Pops! concert features Classical Mystery Tour, a tribute to the music of the Beatles on Saturday, March 19, 7:30 p.m. at the CFCC Humanities and Fine Arts Center. Imagine the Beatles playing in concert with a symphony orchestra. What would that have sounded like? The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra and Classical Mystery Tour will perform the best of the Beatles exactly as written and like you’ve never heard them: totally live!
The Beatles tribute band Classical Mystery Tour was formed in 1996 by Jim Owen, a cast member of the Broadway musical "Beatlemania." Owen's vision for Classical Mystery Tour was to be accompanied by a full symphony orchestra that authentically re-creates the sounds heard on the Beatles' original recordings.
