Mozart’s opera about the exploits and demise of Don Giovanni threads a path between comedy and serious drama, tied together with the insight into human character that Mozart was able to achieve through music.
Ronald Holmes, baritone, is pursuing his teaching license at UNCW, after receiving his Bachelor of Music degree in vocal performance from East Carolina University. He has also been featured with Opera Wilmington for the last three years including roles as Dancairo in Carmen, and Marullo in Rigoletto. While at ECU, Ronald performed the role of Bottom in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, and David in Barber's A Hand of Bridge. In 2013, he performed the role of Jesus in Bach's St. John's Passion with the UNCW Chamber Choir and the North Carolina Baroque Orchestra. He currently studies with Nancy King and is the bass section leader at St. James Episcopal Church.
