To greet visitors and answer the phone while occasionally performing light clerical tasks such as preparing mailings and making copies. Morning and/or afternoon shifts available.

Education Assistants:

To assist the WSO and the Education Committee of the Board in reaching out to our school-age population by means of a variety of educational program including the annual Artist-in-Residence program, the Free Family Concert, and the Wilmington Symphony Youth Orchestra. Must love children and music and have own transportation.

Marketing Assistants:

To assist the WSO and the Marketing and Public Relations Committee of the Board in the preparation and distribution of promotional and publicity material. Development of a WSO display kiosk for use at festivals and expos is a current project. A Speakers Bureau also is being organized.

Data entry Assistants:

To assist the WSO in the maintenance of patron records, mailing lists and other database information. Computer skills needed, experience with Microsoft Access and Excel helpful.

Social Secretary:

To prepare the WSO Birthday Club cards and forward condolence cards when appropriate.

Hospitality:

To join a group of individuals who will work together to provide refreshments for musicians at selected rehearsals and concerts and, on occasion, provide hospitality services for guest performers, and at pre-concert dinners and post-concert receptions. Assist with the annual Meet the Musicians luncheon in the spring.

Subscription Sales Assistants:

To join an energetic committed group of music lovers dedicated to increasing season ticket sales of the WSO. A belief in the quality and importance of our community orchestra and a willing spirit and creative mind are all that is required.

WSO Archivist:

To organize WSO photographs, press clippings and other documentation in such a manner that they will be preserved and readily identifiable for those who will refer to them in the future. This job will be an on-going but not regular basis. Attention to detail a necessity.

Photographer/Videographer:

To document the various performances, programs and events produced by the WSO and Youth Orchestra. Must have own equipment including digital camera. Schedule will vary.
